In August 2016, Cottonwood Villa received the Excellence in Action award from My InnerView by National Research Corporation. This honor, awarded exclusively to NRC clients using My InnerView products, recognizes post-acute care facilities that achieve overall resident or employee satisfaction scores within the top 10 percent.

There are so many ways to enjoy each day at Cottonwood Villa. Whether you prefer the outdoors, indoors, group activity or private time, you’ll have plenty of satisfying choices.

Our recreational and social programs are designed to meet the desires of active senior residents. There is always something to do if you want to participate.

We encourage being fit and we offer specialized exercise three days a week and encourage indoor and outdoor walking any time with neighbors or by yourself.

Calling all card players and game players! We play any card game desired. A foursome can be found nearly every day or invite in friends or family to host your own card party. We also play Rummikube, dominoes, pitch, pinochle and Bingo. A jigsaw puzzle can be found on a nearby table every day to challenge and exercise one’s mind for minutes or hours!

Sing along and have fun with the local kitchen band, and enjoy other live entertainment nearly every Friday. Local musicians set up and create an excellent atmosphere of many varieties of music enjoyed by people of the Sandhills. During Cornhusker football season, you will find a hearty bunch of fans watching the game on our big screen TV in the lobby, enjoying popcorn and sodas and beer or other tasty hors d’oeurves and refreshments.

Sprinkled throughout each year are trips to a variety of places and sights in the area. We make an annual (and sometimes biannual) trip to The Wood Lake Café specifically for Elsie’s pie! Other trips include dining out at local restaurants, taking in the buffalo sale in Valentine, viewing the State Parks in the area and just simply driving around the countryside and communities to see what’s new and changed!
